Pattern: Boho Headband in Crochet

This is the Crochet version of one of my fave patterns, Boho Headband (Knit). Fun, easy, and satisfying. This pattern uses a ribbed Crochet stitch to give a knit ribbed look. You could be wearing the cutest headband in a couple of hours that you handmade yourself! Boho Headband is chunky, comfy, and practical. Create this in a cotton blend yarn for a cute spa headband. Or create this in a wool blend yarn for a winter warmer.

Materials

Lion Brand Hue and Me Yarn or Bulky Weight Yarn, US Size 5. (1 Ball or 50-100yds)
Boye or Susan Bates Crochet Hook US Size L/11 [8mm]
Yarn Needle

Finished Size

Flat Dimensions: Approx. 20″ x 4″
Finished Size: Approx. 9″ x 4″

Notes:

Create a custom fit. Adjust this to your desired look and fit. Begin by chaining 40sts, then try on as you chain for size. Then, add more or less rows for desired thickness.

Baby/Toddler Version – Chain enough stitches to fit around head comfortably. Make sure to measure by placing where you’d like the headband to sit. Go snugger for a more secure fit.

*Lion Brand Hue & Me is the ideal yarn for a “winter warmer”.

*Loops & Threads Bulky Twist is the closest yarn I could find to my ideal yarn for a “spa headband”. A light spongy Cotton Blend with a bouncy feel. A Bamboo Blend would also be the ultimate fiber for just the right comfy chunky spa headband. But I have yet to find a suitable option!

Lion Brand Feels Like Butta is a Super Bulky Weight yarn that is even chunkier. But is also a nice alternative if you want a fluffier chunkier look. Use the same size hook [8.00mm] for a “kawaii” look!
