PSA: NYC + Coronavirus Support

Hope everyone is staying safe, washing their hands, and practicing Social Distancing!

As many may know by now, the COVID-19 Coronavirus Outbreak is underway now in the United States with New York City being one of the hardest hit locations so far.

As of March 11, 2020, WHO has declared the outbreak an official pandemic. As of today, March 20, 2020, NYC has confirmed over 8400 cases and 46 deaths. NYC residents have been self-quarantining to help flatten the curve by minimizing the spread and concentration of the virus and in preparation for more possible drastic measures like a “shelter-in-place” restriction limiting New Yorkers’ ability to go outside their homes.

During this time, NY State and NYC government are looking for your help in fighting this pandemic!

There is currently a shortage of healthcare and medical professional workers as well as personal protective equipment (PPE) like gowns, masks, ventilators and other supplies.

NYC is looking for all able-bodied healthcare professionals to join the frontlines and any small businesses and skilled workers who can aid in manufacturing PPE and other supplies to contact them directly.
