Sew For The Love Of It

So… I just found out today that September is officially National Sewing Month! If you’re mad into sewing and would like a reason to celebrate, try this month. Have a sewing party! Teach a friend to sew! Submit your latest or greatest project to a National Sewing Month contest.

This year’s theme is “Sew for the love of it!“. I came across it on Seamingly.com, a wonderful resource for sewing news. It’s an aggregator of sorts for sewing blogs. What’s great is that blogs are hand-curated to try to bring the best of sewing blog news to you!

Sewing.org is full of free sewing projects, ideas, inspiration. See also Sewing & Craft Alliance and the American Sewing Guild for some more sewing resources from where to find instructors in your area to where to buy supplies!! I found a nice little guide to Buying A Sewing Machine while browsing around. Check out my Library of Sewing Patterns too. Some free, some not!
