Why is she on here? African Print Fabrics! The gorgeous African print fabrics in her Spring/Summer 2011 L.A.M.B. Collection are what caught my eye. I have been looking for African style print fabrics for awhile and her new clothing collection has a million prints I heart. Every single one. I also think the fashions are fabulous too. I hate to admit it but I am a closet Gwen Stefani style fan (post her No Doubt era). Yup! I like her trademark bold, American-Japanese-pop-esque style. I especially like this collection because it also has a very British-esque style in the clothing design itself. I heart them both and both together?! Vapors.
Here are some samples of her stylized African prints or what I call “Afro-Pop” motifs. These happen to be Japanese-inspired. I also really like British-inspired African prints. (C’mon Liberty!) Her full Spring 2011 L.A.M.B. Collection can be found on Elle.com along with an archive of past collections.
