Loop + Strap Adjustable Strap design by OMG! Heart. Free to all for publication and commercial use as long as it includes a credit to OmgHeart.com.

This adjustable strap is a simple design that requires only elastic! All you need is 1/4″ elastic tape to create a loop and a strap. It can be adapted to any face mask design or pattern for (sewn-in) adjustable straps. No extra notions required.

It can also be further extended after the mask is finished without additional sewing. Simply add an extender loop using any type of string, yarn, twine, etc.
If elastic is not available, this can be further adapted by substituting elastic for a different material.
I added these Adjustable Straps to this Pleated Face Mask pattern by Vera Wang. I liked the design and construction but did not like the fit. See here for my tutorial on how to sew the face masks seen above, Pleated Face Mask with Adjustable Straps.
Materials for Straps Only
2 8″ Elastic Straps (Adjust this to any length)
2 2″ Elastic Straps
